AM How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts'): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:

In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to all visitors, vendors, and employees by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities within a chemical and petrochemical location. Respond to incidents, alarms, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or maintenance concerns. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization as directed by site policies, and help to control access to restricted areas. Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications, while supporting emergency procedures, evacuation direction, and other security-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
