PM How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts'): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:

In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out front desk procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location. Monitor lobby and reception area activity, verify identification and/or visitor access permissions, and help to deter unauthorized entry through professional presence and careful attention to site protocols. Answer phones, greet guests, manage visitor logs, and direct deliveries and/or service personnel in accordance with front desk and security-related procedures. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency personnel as needed. Complete required reports, document daily activity, and report maintenance concerns, access issues, and/or suspicious behavior following Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. Customer service experience is preferred. Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
