Security System Technician

Job Summary

NO SHIFT WORK. NO WEEKENDS.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join us as a Security Technician. The ideal candidate will be technology fluent, comfortable addressing customers and responsible for installing, testing, repairing, and servicing security and safety systems, in residential and commercial facilities. This position does not require any experience (although experience is preferred). Carolina Burglar & Fire Alarm will provide on the job training. Compensation will be commensurate with any experience that is brought to the position. Duties Execute daily task electronically using a customer relationship database with ease and accuracy. Install, program, and troubleshoot security panels, security sensors and camera systems (wiring and associated devices). Service burglar alarm systems, fire alarm systems, networking, hosted video solutions, and access control. Validate system signals/communication with central monitoring to properly establish service. Perform system testing after installation. Effectively communicate system operation and functionality with customers. Organizes and utilizes technical resources, information, material, and support to ensure efficient execution of assigned tasks. Complete and submit all Work Orders to accurately reflect work status. Perform facility walkthrough to determine optimal system configuration taking into consideration wiring limitations. Establish safety as the highest priority and actively demonstrate its importance across all work environments. Provide exceptional customer service. Maintain all company equipment, including truck, tools, inventory, etc. Prerequisies Must pass a background check prior to employment Must pass a drug test prior to employment Experience Familiarity with wiring, electricity, programming, cameras, and fire systems. Ability to provide excellent customer service is required.

DESIRED:

Experience with POE cameras is preferred, but not required.

DESIRED:

2 years experience performing basic IT related duties (IP configuration, computer logic, updating software/firmware, network configuration, system backup).

DESIRED:

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
