This is a leadership position with end‑to‑end ownership of day-to-day warehouse operations, workforce leadership, operational analytics, systems implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires strong technical, analytical, and people-leadership capabilities, as well as the ability to influence cross‑functional partners and lead transformation in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. •Please note: there is no visa sponsorship provided for this role.
What You'll Do:
Lead and manage seed packaging operations with full accountability for workforce planning, performance management, and end‑to‑end process execution across packaging and sortation activities. During peak activity periods at the Grimes site, serve as the primary operational leader for second‑shift (2nd shift) operations, with full responsibility for coordinating and overseeing all seed treatment, packaging, sortation and support activities executed during this shift. During low‑season periods, this role will primarily operate on first shift (1st shift) in alignment with site operational needs. Serve as the technical and operational subject matter expert for seed treatment, seed packaging and sortation equipment, driving equipment performance, troubleshooting, and employee training. Partner cross‑functionally with stakeholders to deliver equipment improvement initiatives that optimize operational efficiency, advance site automation, and enable IoT and AI adoption. Own the operational data and analytics strategy for Seed Packaging, ensuring high‑quality, reliable data to support operational, tactical, and strategic decision‑making. Support the development of reporting tools, dashboards, and performance review mechanisms to deliver visibility and actionable insights for site leadership and key stakeholders. Champion a strong safety culture by ensuring full compliance with EHS policies, proactively identifying operational risks, and driving effective corrective and preventive actions. Demonstrate flexibility to align work schedules with site requirements, including extended hours and shift‑based operations during peak production periods.What Skills You Need:
Bachelor's degree in Crop Sciences, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or a related field; advanced degree is a plus. 3+ years of progressive experience in seed operations, research packaging, warehouse operations or a similar operational environment with increasing leadership responsibility. 3+ years of people leadership experience, including direct supervision, workforce planning, coaching, performance management, and change leadership. Demonstrated success leading system implementations or major operational transformations, preferably related to inventory, warehouse management, automation, or digital tools. Working knowledge and hands‑on experience using AI or advanced analytics tools to support reporting, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance short-term execution and long-term capability building. Excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills, including interaction with senior leadership. Availability of working in the 2nd shift during peak workload periods is required.
