About us Sky Blue Brokering is a small business helping individuals and families with developmental disabilities in serving multiple counties in the Taconic region area of NYS. We are professional, agile, and innovative. We are looking for a Direct Support Professional to join our team and provide support to individuals with disabilities in their homes and out in the community. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with activities of daily living, helping individuals develop and maintain independent living skills, providing help before or after school, assisting with community activities, and providing emotional support. The ideal candidate is a career driven individual who wants to work with children and/or young adults. Staff need to be physical active to keep up with the demands of the position. Anyone who is patient, communicative, honest, and consistent. Must have a reliable vehicle to use during shift. Please note that dogs and cats are within the home.

Responsibilities:

Assist individuals with daily living activities Provide transportation to medical appointments, recreational activities, and other outings. Monitor individuals' health and safety. Develop and implement individualized service plans. Assist individuals in developing and achieving personal goals. Maintain records of services provided and progress made by individuals.

Hours:

Part-time position. Shifts are Friday's 3:15 pm to 7:15 pm and Saturday's 9 am to 3 pm. 10 hours minimum per week total. Additional shifts are available Tuesdays and Thursdays as needed.

Qualifications:

Caregivers to children and/or young adults with previous experience and related education in healthcare fields are preferred.

Pay:

$28.50 per hour
