SEND Teaching Assistant Primary School | Lancaster September 2026 Start PAYE contract paid weekly Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lancaster to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistant for a September start. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs in a nurturing school environment. The Role As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), supporting their learning, development, and emotional wellbeing. You may be working 1:1 or in small groups, helping pupils to access the curriculum and reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities Provide tailored support to pupils with SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs) Assist the class teacher with inclusive lesson delivery Support behaviour management and positive learning strategies Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents Promote a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience working with children with SEND (school-based or transferable experience considered) A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for inclusive education An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
