Job Description

Gregory — named PR Agency of the Year by PR Daily and to PRWeek's Best Places to Work list — is looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our team. The right candidate has a proven ability to drive media relations and client communication. Candidates must be in commuting distance to our Philadelphia-area office. We are one of America's largest and most innovative communications agencies, redefining what's possible through the power of people and AI. Come join us!
Responsibilities:
Proactively search for story opportunities and industry trends, and place stories in the media across multiple client accounts. Conduct media outreach, focusing on higher-value media targets and directing junior staff. Write press releases, blog posts, media queries, bylines and social media posts. Edit and align content with the strategic messaging of each campaign. Meet all compliance requirements. Brief clients on anticipated topics and themes of interviews and appearances. Support team in onboarding new clients — implementing scope of work, creating a messaging matrix and identifying short- and long-term campaign goals. Actively engage and communicate with clients via email, phone, video conference and in-person, taking an increasingly senior role in addressing client concerns and recalibrating expectations. Attend, participate in and lead client calls and briefings as specified by team lead. Provide strategic input, analysis and feedback in addition to updates and statuses. Create, review and edit Google Docs and spreadsheets — client reports, agendas and similar materials — to ensure the strategic direction of campaigns and adjust as needed. Stay current on issues, processes, terms, products and regulations specific to clients' industries by reading and subscribing to relevant media, blogs and social feeds. Master increasingly sophisticated topics that affect clients' businesses. Leverage AI tools to accelerate research, media monitoring and outreach, content drafting and client intelligence — and actively develop your fluency with AI as part of the role.
Experience/Education/Work Skills:
Four to seven years of PR experience. An undergraduate degree in communications, public relations, journalism, English or a related field. Passion for media relations and genuine curiosity about clients' industries. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Team-first, positive attitude; ability to work effectively with junior and senior colleagues. Client service orientation — responsive, proactive and solutions-focused. Adaptable to changing work demands and priorities; detail-oriented. Organized and effective at managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office and standard PR productivity tools. Open to working with AI tools and a genuine interest in how AI can strengthen your work.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary commensurate with experience. We offer our employees a competitive compensation and benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) plan, paid time off and paid holidays, life insurance and short-term and long-term disability insurance, among other benefits. Gregory is an equal opportunity employer, and will not engage in or tolerate unlawful discrimination on account of a person's sex, age, race, color, religion, creed, sexual preference, or orientation, marital status, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, military status, veteran status, handicap or disability, or any other protected group or status.
