Work Schedule:
Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Days and work schedule may vary due to business need.

Primary Accountability The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining and ensuring accurate recording, verification, consolidation and entry of transactions and provides technical direction to subordinate level activities. The Senior Accountant is also responsible for month-end financial statement preparation and account reconciliations. Also supports the Finance department by maintaining financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems. The Senior Accountant will also serve as the primary finance contact for all grant activities and will prepare all financial reporting and analysis required by all grants. Description of Primary Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for preparing and distributing monthly financial reports and key financial and business drivers to all management. Reconciles all balance sheet accounts and maintains supporting schedules including the reconciliation of bank deposits to cash postings with the Patient Financial Services team. Prepares annual operating and capital budget in coordination with other Finance team leaders and company management. Processes accurate and timely cash availability report for CFO and/or CEO. Prepare financial components of regulatory reporting such as Uniform Data Set (UDS), Federal Financial Report filing, Census data, etc. Supports annual audit processes Prepare grant expenditure analysis to ensure that grant funds are being maximized, that all charges to grants are eligible and supported with documentation, and that grant program requirements are fulfilled. Description of Primary Attributes General Development Demonstrates a high degree of organization and accuracy Possesses skills in problem analysis and problem solving skills Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people and develop professional working relationships with site staff and other InterCare departments, service vendors, community members, and other outside professional organizations Ability to juggle multiple priorities, adjust to changing circumstances, organize time efficiently and to identify resources for projects Ability to work well as part of a team and keep team members updated on current project developments Possesses skills in motivation, self-direction, punctuality Professional and Technical Knowledge Possesses a thorough understanding of theory and practices of accounting to ensure compliance with applicable standards (i.e. GAAP), rules, regulations and systems of internal control. BS or BA in Accounting. CPA preferred. Prefer 3 - 5 years' experience in accounting in a healthcare environment. Technical Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Proficient in Excel and Excel's enhanced reporting functions (Pivot Tables, and/If formulas, etc.). Ability to use clerical and numerical skills in preparing final drafts and documents from raw data. Ability to run reports, analyze and interpret data. Ability to collaborate and interact with a diverse group of health care professionals. Communication Skills Possesses a professional level of written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate complex concept in a clear effective manner. Possesses excellent cross cultural communication skills and the ability to communicate to staff members at all levels. Physical Demands Job duties are performed in the typical office environment of the organization, which requires ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations. The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following: Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, frequently sit, and lift up to 25 lbs. Requires good hand-eye coordination, reach with arms & hands, and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and manipulate (using keyboard, office equipment) Visual acuity to use keyboard, operate office equipment, and read printed material and regularly required to talk and hear
