The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all project-related transactions, including revenue recognition, billable costs and billing schedules. This role will also provide accounting support for accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, as well as month-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations and reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, be extremely organized and able to manage multiple priorities effectively. Key Responsibilities Work with project managers to ensure project-related transactions are recorded timely and accurately. This includes maintaining detailed reports for all contracts, tracking billable costs, overseeing revenue recognition, tracking billing milestones, and preparing final contract reconciliations once work is completed. Prepare customer invoices. Assist with review of vendor bills and credit card transactions to ensure proper coding is used and approval and documentation is maintained. Assist with fixed asset schedules and ensure asset additions and disposals are properly recorded and documented. Review monthly inventory schedules. Assist with month end close process, to include entering journal entries and preparing account reconciliations. Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports and schedules. Develop and implement process improvements. Assist with preparation of annual budgets, as needed. Prepare schedules and provide documentation, as required, for tax return preparation and annual audits. Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Minimum 4 years of related accounting experience with strong knowledge of accounting principles. Proficient in MS Excel. Must be extremely detail oriented and organized with strong follow-through. Must be able to work independently, manage multiple priorities effectively, and meet deadlines. Ability to manage periods of increased workload during month-end close. Ability to write reports and correspondence and speak effectively with vendors and employees. Why Pharmaron?
