Senior Accountant - Aerospace Manufacturing!

Job description Alpha Q, Inc. is a people-first organization and are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team! This position will be located at our Colchester, CT manufacturing facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the position to include, but not limited to: Perform advanced accounting work in a manufacturing environment Examine, verify, and code entries for distribution to accounts Trace and adjust errors, omissions, double entries, etc. Perform duties related to monthly close - posting journal entries, bank reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements for all divisions Maintain accounting records, process weekly payroll and 401k Assist with completion of financial statements and audits Allocate work to and instruct Accounting Clerk assigned to their section May assist with analysis work and make recommendations among other duties

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Finance (Accounting Major preferred) 2+ years of senior level accounting experience 2+ years of supervisory experience Working knowledge of GAAP and finance principles & procedures Highly organized, excellent analytical skills and attention to detail Punctual, reliable, and willing to work overtime as deemed necessary by supervisor to meet customer demands
