Senior Accountant

Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability Insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off Flexible schedules Paid gym memberships Professional training and advancement opportunities Leadership training Team-building activities Daily pay options (if needed) Key Responsibilities Core Accounting Functions Perform general ledger accounting and monthly close activities Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies Analyze financial statements and variance reports Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting Work cross-functionally with operations teams to maintain accurate financial data Assist with bank covenant reporting Process Improvement & Systems Support Collaborate with IT and finance teams on ERP system improvements Extract, analyze, and interpret financial data Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend improvements Create reports and dashboards for management insights Support automation initiatives to streamline accounting processes Participate in cross-functional system and reporting projects Internal Controls Assist with documentation and maintenance of internal controls Support compliance related to cash, payables, inventory, and month-end processes Assist in training finance staff on compliance procedures Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA preferred 5-7 years of accounting experience Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) Experience with Power BI or Tableau is a plus Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Work Environment Office-based environment Ability to sit, stand, walk, and lift up to 10 lbs as needed Company DescriptionSynectics is a leading staffing and workforce solutions company dedicated to connecting exceptional talent with top organizations.
