Job Overview Our firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounting Manager to lead a local company's accounting department to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of all financial operations. This pivotal leadership role will oversee the accounting function, supports strategic financial planning, and ensures adherence to regulatory standards and best practices. Key Responsibilities Lead the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with GAAP, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and reporting standards. Oversee general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, collections, vendor relations, and payment processing. Supervise payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate compensation while maintaining compliance with tax laws and payroll regulations. Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting to support strategic planning and business decision-making. Prepare regulatory reports and support external audits by providing required documentation and financial explanations. Implement, maintain, and optimize accounting software systems such as Sage, QuickBooks, or similar financial platforms. Lead technical accounting initiatives involving complex transactions, process improvements, or new accounting standard implementations. Partner with cross-functional teams to strengthen internal controls, streamline financial processes, and improve operational efficiency. Mentor and support accounting staff, fostering professional growth and team development. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred, but not required. Minimum of 5 years of progressive corporate accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities. Strong proficiency with accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or comparable financial management systems. Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Possess a collaborative manage style to promote success of the accounting team Proven leadership skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across departments. $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
