Senior Test Systems Engineer - Medical Device Manufacturing πŸ“ Audubon, PA πŸ’Ό Full-Time | Direct Hire | Onsite πŸ’²
Salary:
$115,000 + $7,500 Bonus We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Systems Engineer to support the development, modernization, and sustainment of automated electro-mechanical manufacturing test systems for advanced implantable medical technologies to join a growing medical device engineering organization in the Audubon, PA area This is a high-visibility, hands-on engineering role supporting cross-functional integration initiatives and manufacturing test modernization efforts. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in automated test systems, instrumentation, troubleshooting, and regulated manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities Develop, deploy, and maintain automated electro-mechanical manufacturing test systems Support PCBA and device-level production testing Define test requirements and critical test parameters in collaboration with Electrical Engineering teams Design and develop test solutions using NI LabVIEW and NI TestStand Execute verification and validation activities including
IQ/OQ/PQ
protocols Perform regression testing on modified test systems Troubleshoot manufacturing test failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions Drive efforts to improve manufacturing yield and first-pass success rates Support modernization of legacy NI hardware and automated test platforms Conduct ad hoc testing and document/report findings Collaborate cross-functionally with Electrical Engineering, Firmware, Manufacturing Engineering, Validation, and Test Software teams Support domestic and international manufacturing and supplier locations as needed (up to 10% travel) Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or related technical discipline 5+ years of experience developing and sustaining automated electro-mechanical test systems Strong hands-on experience with: NI LabVIEW NI TestStand
PXI / NI
instrumentation Oscilloscopes DAQ systems PCBAs and manufacturing test systems Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills Experience reading electrical schematics, technical drawings, and BOMs Understanding of software development and testing best practices Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced cross-functional environment Preferred Qualifications Experience within medical device, aerospace, automotive, or other regulated industries Experience with FDA-regulated software/system validation Knowledge of
