CDL Bus Driver (Part-Time)

Cornerstone Adult Community Center The Adult Community Center is seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL driver to provide transportation for older adults to and from the center, as well as for scheduled outings and local errands. This is a part-time position with flexible hours based on programming needs and scheduled services. Responsibilities Provide safe and timely transportation for participants Complete morning pick-up routes and afternoon drop-offs (typically around 3:00 PM) Drive for scheduled day trips and local errands (banks, pharmacies, stores, etc.) Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed Ensure compliance with all DOT, DART, and safety regulations Perform basic vehicle checks before and after trips Requirements Valid CDL with Passenger Endorsement Current DOT certification Ability to meet DART program requirements Clean driving record Ability to safely transport passengers across state lines, if needed Strong communication and customer service skills; able to interact effectively with supervisor, staff, and passengers Ability to maintain accurate records (trip logs, passenger counts, vehicle inspections) Ability to perform routine pre-trip vehicle safety checks Experience working with older adults preferred Schedule & Pay Part-time; hours vary based on transportation needs Typical schedule includes morning pick-up routes and afternoon return routes Additional hours available for day trips and special outings
