About the Role Bohler's Fairfield, CT office, serving Southern Connecticut, is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to support complex civil engineering, site design, and land development projects. You'll collaborate closely with Project Managers, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality site design solutions while contributing technical expertise across grading, utilities, stormwater management, permitting, and project coordination. What We Offer A collaborative environment that values curiosity, creativity, and technical excellence Opportunities to work on diverse, high-impact land development projects Hands-on exposure to project design from concept through construction Ongoing professional development and pathways toward project leadership The support of mentors and peers who push you to keep growing What You'll Do Design and review grading, drainage, and utility plans for complex sites Conduct zoning research and site feasibility analyses Support project coordination with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies Review design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance Collaborate with and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers Perform hydrology, stormwater, and earthwork calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and design software Contribute to project budgeting, workload planning, and task coordination What You'll Bring Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline) 5+ years of experience in land development design and permitting (we will also consider candidates with 1+ years of experience for a Design Engineer position) Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software Knowledge of local zoning, permitting, and construction requirements Detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving and communication skills PE license beneficial; EIT required or in progress Shape the Future, Advance Your Expertise.
