FullTime Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary The WashU Medicine Center for Pediatric Neuromuscular Disorders (pediatricneuromusculardisorders.wustl/) provides quality care, state-of-the-art treatment, precision medicine, and research opportunities to pediatric and young adult patients diagnosed with neuromuscular disorders. Patients at our center have access to leading-edge clinical trials which focus on personalized medicine to improve the understanding, treatment, and prevention of neuromuscular diseases. As a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator, you will work alongside our team of highly skilled research coordinators and clinicians in leading the execution of clinical trial protocols for pediatric patients with neuromuscular disorders. You will have the opportunity to participate in and lead clinical research study activities, including complex and multi-site clinical research trials.Specific duties may include:
screening, obtaining consent, and enrolling participants in studies, performing a variety of duties involved in the collection, documentation, and reporting of clinical research data, and may include staff training and supervisory tasks. Phlebotomy and blood lab processing experience is preferred but not required. Experience with children is preferred but not required, although willingness to work with children is required. Job DescriptionPrimary Duties & Responsibilities:
Acts as the primary liaison to PI in developing plans for the clinical trials team; assists in the preparation of amendments to protocols and/or modifications and other regulatory tasks as appropriate. Implements and manages all phases of study/protocol; ensures compliance with protocol guidelines and requirements of regulatory agencies; identifies problems and/or inconsistencies and monitors participant's progress to include documentation and reporting of adverse events; resolves IRB/protocol management issues and recommends corrective action as appropriate; serves as liaison with funding or sponsoring agency. Provides guidance to members of research team in the implementation and evaluation of clinical research; trains new staff; may serve as lead or as point of reference for other research coordinators for questions, staff scheduling, feedback on performance. Evaluates and interprets collected clinical data in conjunction with PI as appropriate. Performs phlebotomy and lab processing following appropriate training. Performs other duties incidental to the work described above.Working Conditions:
