APEX is seeking a Senior Engineer to be based in Pleasant Hill or Truckee, CA. Our Pleasant Hill Practice is home to a multidisciplinary team of project managers, scientists, geologists, and engineers who collaborate on a wide variety of project types and environmental contaminants. Senior Engineer:

Serve as senior technical lead on cumulative project total of $2M to $3M annually. Contribute to successful business development of new clients and projects at greater than $500K annually. Write and review technical reports and proposals. Assist with project management activities. Ability to grow an existing bustling practice in one of the following areas: brownfields redevelopment, groundwater/soil characterization and remediation, landfill engineering, or water resources; Augment a busy established, successful practice Identifying and developing successful client relationships and new business development opportunities with public and private clients on local, regional or national basis; business development of $400,000 annual revenue Mentor and train scientific staff and ensure quality work product. Actively develop your own career growth. What we're looking for: BS in Engineering. Master's degree is preferred. Minimum 8 years of experience with environmental/remediation services, including technical writing, technical oversight, project management, business development, and staff management. Experience with oil & gas, manufacturing industries, utilities, landfills, and chlorinated solvent sites highly desired, Potentially Responsible Parties (PRP) groups, municipalities. (preferred) California PE required Proven track record in business development and project management experience, a plus. Proven track record of mentoring and developing staff. (preferred) Strong technical writing skills, the ability to successfully multi-task, safety awareness, and a good record and understanding of safe work practices. 40-hour
