Role Description This is a full-time role for a Senior Estimator based in Houston, TX. This Senior Estimator must thrive in a team environment. The sales team responsible for preparing accurate project estimates, building and maintaining client relationships, and contributing to sales efforts. Daily tasks include conducting site visits, analyzing project requirements, providing cost estimates, preparing proposals, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure project alignment with client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Takeoffs and Estimating:

Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings to estimate material, labor, and subcontractor costs.

Site Visits:

Conduct on-site inspections to assess project conditions, take measurements, and identify potential risks.

Proposal Development:

Prepare and submit accurate, detailed bids, proposals, and contracts for private and public work.

Vendor Negotiation:

Solicit and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and material suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.

Project Management Support:

Coordinate with Project Managers and Director of Operations to align the client's stated timeframe with the current projected schedule.

Client Relations:

Serve as the primary contact for project inquiries, revisions, and follow-ups.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of the nature of our work: asphalt and concrete paving.

Software Proficiency:

Proficiency in estimating software & CRM software (Building Connected, CivCast, BlueBeam, PavementSoft, OneCrew, Hubspot, Monday, Rocketfuel, Salesforce, Microsoft Products, Google Products) - List all software proficiencies.

Sales Knowledge:

Ability to understand each client and speak to who they are and what they need.

Plan Reading:

Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, specifications, and engineered drawings.

Analytical Skills:

Strong mathematical and analytical skills to calculate production rates and manage costs.

Communication:

Ability to build relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.

Full-time Pay:

$65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
