Job Description
Because of their continued growth, a General Contractor in your area is seeking a
SENIOR ESTIMATOR
to join their team. As a building industry leader, this company hires the best and provides them with outstanding personal and professional growth opportunities in a supportive, team-orientated environment. The Senior Estimator is responsible for providing leadership and management to assigned projects safely, profitable, and timely. The Estimator manages the bids consistently with standards of quality and integrity and participates in the marketing, estimating, bidding, and contract negotiation phases of the projects assigned.Senior Estimator Role:
- Will be responsible for working on several potential projects valued between $10-250m.
- Provides leadership, guidance, and expertise by defining, implementing, and monitoring department estimating resources, guidelines, best practices, and procedures.
- Coordinates with a team and senior management to grow the business in line with the firm's strategic direction.
- Responsible for the completeness and accuracy of submissions.
- Establishes team assignments and identifies estimating review dates.
- Oversees and supports several projects from an operational, financial, and resource standpoint. Senior Estimator Requirements
- Degree educated in the appropriate discipline is highly preferred.
- Experienced in negotiation bids on new build projects.
- Strong portfolio of previous work in the relevant sectors.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of different construction methods, planning, scheduling, and sequencing.
