Senior HR Generalist Pittsburgh, PA $60,000 — $75,000 Posted 1 week ago Senior HR Generalist / Payroll Specialist Pittsburgh, PA (Northwestern Suburbs) $60,000- $75,000 We are seeking a Senior HR Generalist / Payroll Specialist to step into a highly visible and impactful role. This position will own full-cycle payroll while also supporting key HR functions such as benefits administration, onboarding/offboarding, and employee support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of transactional and strategic HR responsibilities and wants to grow into a long-term role with succession potential as the HR Manager plans for retirement in the coming years.
OVERVIEW OF THE SENIOR HR GENERALIST / PAYROLL SPECIALIST ROLE
Process full-cycle weekly payroll for a multi-entity, complex environment Manage payroll adjustments including commissions, garnishments, and special deductions Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations Maintain payroll records and handle employee payroll-related inquiries Utilize Paylocity for payroll processing Support benefits administration including renewals, enrollments, and employee education Assist with 401(k) administration, including enrollments and rollovers Partner on insurance renewals and vendor coordination Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems Provide general HR support to employees and management Deliver presentations to management (approximately twice per year)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SENIOR HR GENERALIST / PAYROLL SPECIALIST ROLE
3+ years of experience in HR and payroll (full-cycle payroll required) Experience with Paylocity or similar payroll/HRIS systems preferred Exposure to complex payroll environments (commissions, garnishments, multi-entity) Background supporting a blue-collar or industrial workforce is a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information Calm, steady, and adaptable personality with a team-first mindset #
