The Senior HR Manager - Talent Management (Centers of Excellence and HR Shared Services) leads the corporate Talent Management COEs—Training, Learning & Development, and Talent Acquisition/Recruiting—and the Talent Management Shared Services (HRSS) function for a global manufacturing organization. This role designs and delivers scalable, standardized, customer-focused people programs and HR services that strengthen organizational capability, accelerate hiring and onboarding, and build the talent pipeline needed to execute business strategy. The Senior HR Manager partners closely with HR Business Partners/HR Business Operations, functional leaders, and regional HR teams to ensure consistent practices, compliant processes, and measurable business outcomes across geographies.
The Senior HR Manager will:
Set and execute enterprise talent strategy across Talent Management (recruiting, learning, leadership development, performance and succession) to meet global manufacturing and corporate workforce needs. Design, govern, and continuously improve scalable COE programs and standards (competencies, career paths, assessments, selection and development tools) to enable consistent, high-quality outcomes across regions. Direct recruiting operations and governance (workforce planning partnership, sourcing strategy, selection/interviewing standards, offer processes, onboarding coordination) to improve speed, quality, and candidate experience. Provide oversight of executive recruitment by establishing search governance (role intake, assessment and selection rigor, slate quality/diversity expectations), monitoring performance and holding internal partners and executive search firms accountable to service levels and outcomes. Optimize and govern talent technologies (ATS, LMS, assessments and related tools), ensuring adoption, data integrity, reporting, and process efficiency. Build and maintain an end-to-end learning ecosystem (curricula, delivery model, vendor mix, and measurement), including ownership of the LMS and learning analytics. Lead leadership development and organizational capability initiatives; facilitate talent reviews and succession planning with actionable development plans for critical roles. Lead HR Shared Services to deliver accurate, timely, customer-focused HR support through defined service catalog, case/intake processes, SOPs, and strong internal controls. Drive harmonization, automation, and self-service improvements across CoE and HRSS processes to reduce cycle time, improve compliance, and enhance employee/manager experience. Manage vendor and partner performance (training providers, recruiting agencies/RPO/search), including contract scope, service levels, and budget/ROI. Coach and develop the team; lead stakeholder engagement, governance routines, and change management to ensure successful implementation and sustained results.The ideal candidate will have/be:
Strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and agency rules pertaining to general human resources management and employee relations Strong working knowledge of HR technologies, including ATS and LMS platforms; experience improving workflows, reporting, and user adoption. Knowledge and experience in developing and implementing HR programs and initiatives. Demonstrated experience designing and operating HR shared services and/or standardized HR operational processes with measurable service levels. Demonstrated experience and proficiency working in a large HCM and providing end-user training and support; previous experience with Workday is a plus. Ability to manage large scale HR projects and initiatives from conception, through planning, execution, and timely completion; formal project management experience is a plus. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); comfortable and proficient with AI and collaboration tools in a matrixed environment. Able to effectively explain and transfer knowledge to other members of decentralized HR teams, employees, and managers at all levels of an organization. Proficiency in HR analytics and dashboarding; ability to translate data into insights and recommendations. Able to build and foster effective business relationships with executives, managers, employees, vendors, and other internal and external customers. Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, management, organizational development, or related field is required Professional Human Resources certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) or graduate degree in Human Resources is desired. 8+ years of progressive broad-based human resources experience with significant leadership in talent acquisition, learning & development, and/or talent management, with 3+ years of experience leading teams and enterprise-wide programs preferred. Experience partnering with leaders in a complex, multi-site environment; manufacturing or industrial operations experience strongly preferred. Experience working in a global or multi-country environment, including collaboration across time zones and understanding of varied labor markets and employment practices.Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an office environment, with occasional walking in and around a manufacturing plant. May be required to travel up to 15% of time by automobile and/or common air carrier with overnight stays required. Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 10 pounds.Similar remote jobs
