Senior Investor Relations Analyst BankUnited United States, Florida, Miami Lakes May 11, 2026
SUMMARY:
The Senior Investor Relations Analyst supports and executes core investor relations activities, including shareholder analysis, market intelligence, earnings preparation, and investor communications. This role works closely with senior management, Corporate Secretary, Finance, SEC Reporting, and external advisors to support effective engagement with investors, analysts, and proxy advisory firms.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned. Supports preparation for quarterly earnings calls, including gathering and analyzing investor, analyst, and market intelligence in advance of earnings; preparing executive briefing materials, analytics, and post call follow up. Serves as a super user of the NASDAQ / Thomson Reuters IR platform, overseeing shareholder surveillance, ownership analysis, investor interaction tracking, and reporting. Monitors and analyzes shareholder composition, institutional ownership, consensus estimates, stock performance, short interest, peer activity, and market trends; prepare executive level summaries, benchmarking, and KPI reporting. Routinely tracks, summarizes, and analyzes sell side analyst reports, estimates, consensus movements, and key themes--particularly in advance of earnings. Analyzes investor positioning and peer company ownership to support investor targeting and engagement strategies. Conducts market and industry research, including review of peer disclosures, earnings calls, analyst models, and competitor trends. Prepares and maintains investor presentations and materials for earnings calls, investor meetings, conferences, and other engagement activities. Coordinates investor engagement activities, including non deal roadshows, conferences, earnings related outreach, and follow up. Supports proxy related activities, including analysis of ISS and Glass Lewis reports and coordination with internal stakeholders. Works closely with SEC Reporting to maintain a strong understanding of the Company's financial statements, earnings materials, and public disclosures. Assists with research and preparation of responses to investor inquiries and ad hoc information requests. Supports senior executive management in anticipating investor topics of interest and preparing for investor dialogue. Performs ad hoc financial analysis and special projects related to investor relations and capital markets initiatives. Adheres to and complies with applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.). Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and completes required training. Identifies and reports suspicious activity.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE 4 - 7
years of experience in investor relations, finance, banking, capital markets, or a related field. Experience with proxy advisory firms, earnings support, or public company disclosures is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare materials for senior management. Advanced PowerPoint skills; experience preparing executive level presentations. High attention to detail, accuracy, and professionalism. Ability to work cross functionally. Familiarity with financial databases and market tools (e.g., Bloomberg, S&P Capital IQ) strongly preferred.
