We are seeking an experienced Senior Production Craftsman to join our growing custom framing team. This role is ideal for someone who values craftsmanship, precision, creative problem-solving, and takes genuine pride in producing exceptional finished work. This is not an entry-level production position. We are looking for someone with strong technical framing experience who can independently execute complex projects, contribute to workflow organization, and help uphold a culture of quality, creativity, and professionalism in the shop. What You'll Do Build and assemble custom framing projects with precision and consistency Execute advanced preservation and conservation framing techniques Cut and join moulding, mats, spacers, liners, acrylic, and specialty materials Perform mounting and hinging techniques for artwork, textiles, jerseys, memorabilia, needlework, and dimensional objects Work with museum glass, acrylic glazing, float mounts, fillets, stacked frames, and specialty fabrication Assist with production prioritization and workflow organization Maintain exceptional craftsmanship standards and quality control Collaborate with designers and ownership on creative framing solutions Help maintain a clean, organized, efficient production environment Troubleshoot challenging framing and structural projects Occasionally assist customers with technical framing guidance and design support Ideal Experience 5+ years of custom framing production experience preferred Strong understanding of conservation framing practices Experience with complex shadowboxes, textile mounting, and specialty mounting techniques Confidence using framing equipment and production tools safely and efficiently Familiarity with Wizard CMC systems preferred Experience in high-volume framing environments a plus Strong eye for detail, proportion, alignment, and finish quality Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Who You Are Loves art and the people who love art Appreciates the stories, memories, and meaning behind the pieces we frame Finds satisfaction in helping customers see their artwork and memories honored beautifully Calm, collaborative, and solution-oriented Self-directed, dependable, and organized Takes ownership and pride in craftsmanship Enjoys creative problem-solving and thoughtful design Interested in helping shape and elevate a growing independent frame shop What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Creative and supportive work environment Opportunity to help shape a growing locally owned business Access to high-quality materials and creative custom projects Employee framing and retail discounts A shop culture centered around craftsmanship, creativity, respect, and thoughtful design To Apply Please send: Resume or work experience A brief introduction about your framing background Photos of projects you are proud of (if available)
