Job Description
Overview Join our vibrant team as a Senior Living Bus Driver and become a vital part of enhancing residents' quality of life! In this energetic and rewarding role, you will be responsible for safely transporting seniors to various destinations, including recreational activities, and community outings. Your dedication to excellent customer service and safety will create a positive experience for every passenger. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while utilizing your driving expertise and compassionate communication skills. Responsibilities Safely operate buses and paratransit vehicles, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations Provide courteous assistance to passengers, including helping with boarding, seating, and exiting the vehicle Maintain clear communication with passengers regarding routes, schedules, and safety procedures Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle mechanical safety and report any issues promptly Manage behavior and ensure a respectful environment onboard, especially when working with seniors with special needs Keep accurate records of trips, passenger counts, and maintenance reports Collaborate with team members to coordinate schedules and optimize service delivery Skills Proven experience in bus driving, or school bus driving with a valid driver's license suitable for passenger transport Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities Knowledge of paratransit operations and senior care transportation requirements Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with passengers Experience in behavior management to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively Ability to teach or guide passengers on safety procedures when necessary Writing skills for completing logs, incident reports, and maintenance documentation Embark on a fulfilling career where your driving skills meet your passion for serving others!
