Send job Job Details Company Job Details [ The Sr. Manager, Warehouse Operations will be responsible for oversight and growth of GxP warehouse operations including material receipt, storage, handling and distribution of raw materials & finished goods; ensuring accurate inventory management & compliance with FDA, EMA, GMP, GDP, OSHA and other applicable regulations in support of clinical and commercial manufacturing. The role will also be responsible for driving operational excellence and process improvements for responsible areas/systems and direct management of warehouse operations staff. This position is onsite and will be primarily based in Northbridge, MA with flexibility to travel to Watertown, MA area as required. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Individual Responsibilities Manage GxP warehouse operations including material receipt, storage, material kitting/order fulfillment, cycle counts, and shipment of WIP/finished goods. Drive space utilization, capacity planning, and process improvement initiatives to support commercial product launch and continued growth of warehouse operations. Lead enhancements to the ERP system as the supply chain SME for warehousing and inventory control modules. Ensure accurate inventory management and records are maintained. Coordinate shipping and logistics for domestic and international shipments. Manage material transfers between internal and external warehouse locations. Drive continuous improvements to warehouse standard operating procedures (SOPs) and incorporate best practices to ensure operational efficiencies. Ensure direct reports follow established guidelines to deliver high quality of services in a safe and efficient manner. Recognize and analyze root cause(s) of warehouse or material related issues and develop/implement corrective actions when needed. Collaborate with manufacturing and quality on quality events (Deviations, CAPAs, etc) and drive task closure as required. Manage 3rd Party Warehouse and Logistics suppliers as the business requires. Ensure warehouse operations comply with required regulatory standards (e.g.
SOX, GMP, FDA, OSHA
) and maintain audit readiness for internal and external audits. Establish and maintain internal KPIs to monitor performance of warehouse operations. Lead, direct, coach and develop direct reports as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Primary skills and knowledge required include, but are not limited to the following: Advanced knowledge of cGMP's associated quality systems and regulatory considerations in a pharmaceutical warehouse setting. Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and team building skills; ability to connect with all levels of the organization with a hands-on approach in a fast-paced work environment. Experience navigating cross-functional teams through issue resolution. Advanced proficiency in the use of ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and analytics for inventory management. Ability to promote a mindset of continuous improvement, problem solving, and prevention. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to balance multiple priorities and work against tight timelines as well as continually evaluate, measure, analyze and report on collaboration success, potential risks or new opportunities. Understanding of transportation requirements for domestic and international shipments.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Level of Education Required:
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, manufacturing, logistics or relevant related field. Number of Years of Experience in the Function and in the
Industry:
• Minimum 8 years in pharmaceutical warehousing/supply chain/operations field. • 5+ years of managerial experience directly leading people in a multi-tiered (GMP) organization.
