Job Description:
No C2C or 3rd party candidates will be considered. Sterling Engineering is partnering with a well-established manufacturer to hire a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. This hands-on role will support manufacturing processes, production equipment, and new product introductions while working closely with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities :
Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and fixtures to maximize quality, efficiency, and throughput Act as the technical subject matter expert for production equipment, machinery capabilities, and manufacturing processes Lead new product development and industrialization efforts from design concept through production launch Review and enhance product designs for manufacturability, cost reduction, and performance optimization Support product and component testing, validation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives Own and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, BOMs, routings, and engineering change notices (ECNs) Partner closely with suppliers on component design, material selection, and manufacturability improvements
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline 7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or production-focused environments Strong hands-on experience with metals, CNC machining, tooling, dies, and fixtures Demonstrated success taking products from concept through production and scaling manufacturing processes Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or equivalent) for product and tooling design Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is strongly preferred
