Senior Payables Accountant

Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Payables Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments while maintaining compliance with financial standards and internal controls. Duties Review and assist with the full cycle of accounts payable, including invoice processing, approval workflows, and payment execution Facilitate and process payments for domestic and international vendors Maintain and reconcile vendor profiles and statements and resolve discrepancies promptly through detailed analysis and communication with vendors and internal teams. Oversee the employee expense reimbursement process to assist with questions and processing, including corporate cards Facilitation of 1099 requirements for each reporting period Assist in the implementation and continuous improvement of internal controls related to payables processes. Perform other projects as assigned. Qaulifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred. Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting roles focusing on payables or financial analysis. Strong knowledge of accounting concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation. Minimum 3+ years experience in Accounts Payable Excellent analysis skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve complex issues efficiently
