Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Water Treatment Construction Project Manager to join their team in beautiful Arroyo Grande, California. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing complex water and wastewater treatment facility projects-from early design coordination through construction and commissioning.
The ideal candidate brings a strong technical background, proven experience in water infrastructure delivery, and the ability to manage multi-million‑dollar EPC and design-build projects with confidence and excellence.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead planning, design coordination, construction oversight, and delivery of water and wastewater treatment plant projects.
Manage contract execution, budgets, schedules, subcontracts, and field activities.
Collaborate closely with engineering teams to bridge technical design and construction execution.
Ensure project compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality expectations.
Coordinate with owners, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to project personnel and field teams.
Required Qualifications5+ years of experience as a Water Treatment Construction Project Manager.
Technical or construction-related education background (e.g., engineering, construction management, or related fields).Hands-on experience on both the design and construction sides of water treatment plant development.
Proven track record managing multi‑million‑dollar EPC/design-build water/wastewater projects.
Strong understanding of water/wastewater treatment processes, civil/mechanical systems, and project delivery methodologies.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred QualificationsProfessional Engineering (PE) license or PMP certification.
Experience working in California's regulatory environment.
Background in advanced treatment technologies or large municipal projects.
