Senior Service Repair Engineer About the Role Location United States of America North Carolina Rural Hall Remote vs. Office Office/Site only Company Siemens Energy, Inc. Organization Gas Services Business Unit Central Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Mid-level Professional A Snapshot of Your Day As a Senior Service Repair Engineer, you will play a key role in the Service Engineering Repair team, supporting the refurbishment of turbine components such as blades, vanes, and ring segments. Your day will include developing and qualifying repair processes, collaborating with design engineering on Design for Repair (DfR) initiatives, and driving innovation across global Siemens Energy and vendor repair shops. The successful candidate will be adept at coordinating thorough Focused Technical Reviews (FTR) with a broad range of technical experts within the global engineering community through challenging topics. You'll help extend component life, improve reliability, and reduce refurbishment costs through advanced technologies and cross‑functional project leadership. How You'll Make an Impact
  • Lead and coordinate repair, modification, upgrade, and DfR development/qualification projects, ensuring technical accuracy and timeline adnce.
  • Support implementation of new repair technologies—including additive manufacturing—and provide shop‑floor technical guidance and NCR evaluations.
  • Collaborate with service, lifing, design engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust repair solutions.
  • Follow the Product Development Process (PDP), ensure proper Focused Technical Reviews, documentation, milestone tracking, risk assessments, and process qualifications are completed.
  • Drive cost‑out initiatives and continuous improvement through structured engineering and data‑driven project work. What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials Science, or related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in superalloys, coatings, manufacturing processes, materials behavior, DfM, or hot‑section gas turbine component repair.
  • Proven ability to lead technical projects, coordinate cross‑functional teams, and apply digital tools for data‑driven problem solving is required.
  • Experience with SAP and/or Teamcenter is required; Basic programming or data analysis (Python, Excel
VBA, SQL
) is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills with a proactive, structured, and customer‑focused mindset.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% for project work, shop support, and global collaboration.
