Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to lead the design, implementation, and management of our IT infrastructure. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge system architecture, ensure robust security measures, and optimize our technology environment to support business growth. Responsibilities Manage and maintain enterprise-level operating systems including Windows, Linux, and UNIX environments to ensure stability and performance. Design and implement scalable system architectures utilizing virtualization technologies such as VMware and ESXi, along with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure. Oversee system administration tasks including system updates, patch management, user access controls, and performance tuning. Develop and support automation scripts using Bash (Unix shell), Python, PowerShell, and other scripting languages to streamline operations. Configure and manage network security components such as firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, load balancers, and information security protocols. Collaborate with development teams on solution architecture for microservices, RESTful APIs, service-oriented architecture (SOA), and DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Git. Lead efforts in system design for high availability, disaster recovery planning, data management with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server), NoSQL solutions, and system integration using APIs. Qualifications Proven experience in system administration across diverse operating systems including Windows Server and Linux distributions. Strong knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes. Hands-on experience with cloud services including AWS and Azure for infrastructure deployment and management. Expertise in network security concepts such as firewalls, VPNs, DNS/DHCP configuration, load balancing techniques, and information security best practices. Proficiency in scripting languages including Bash (Unix shell), Python, PowerShell; familiarity with Shell Scripting is a plus. Solid understanding of solution architecture principles within service-oriented architecture (SOA) frameworks. Experience working within Agile development environments following SDLC methodologies for system design and deployment. Knowledge of database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL; experience with PL/SQL is desirable. Familiarity with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git version control systems; experience implementing CI/CD pipelines is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively across teams.
