Job Description

Job Overview Coombs Service Group is seeking a Senior Technician for the ever-expanding water and wastewater industry. Job tasks include installing, rebuilding, repairing and maintaining water and wastewater treatment equipment in the western United States. The Senior Technician will be working at water and wastewater facilities primarily in Amador, Glenn, Inyo, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura, and San Diego Counties. A Senior Technician must have strong mechanical, electrical and construction skill sets with at least 5 years' experience in the water or wastewater industry. A Senior Technician must have the ability to work well independently or with a team as needed. See below for additional duties. This position is a full-time hourly position offering competitive benefits. Hourly pay is $30/hr. Competitive pay offered with paid meals. Position includes a Company vehicle with paid drive time. Duties Duties include plant equipment preventative maintenance, control panel inspection and part replacement, equipment inspection and repairs/installation, new equipment startup, pouring concrete (small slabs), grouting, float testing and replacement, painting, plant system cleaning and repairs, pipeline installation and repairs (PVC/steel/stainless steel), pipeline location, conduit installation and wire pulling, tractor/gator/forklift/boom lift operation, recordkeeping and reporting, leading a team as needed. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to repair equipment related to water treatment and wastewater processes. Electrical and construction skills. Experience operating heavy equipment including tankers, pumps, valves, and construction machinery. Knowledge of piping layouts, and general maintenance practices in industrial settings. Ability to perform analysis using data collection tools to diagnose issues quickly and accurately. Physical capability for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, climbing ladders or scaffolding as needed during inspections or repairs.
