General information Country USA State Florida City Tampa Descriptions & requirements About the role: As a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you'll own performance quality across critical TQL applications and platforms. You'll be responsible for ensuring systems are scalable, reliable, and able to perform under real-world demand. You'll partner closely with software engineering, architecture, infrastructure, and Quality Engineering teams to identify risks early, shape performance strategy, and drive solutions that improve system resilience and customer experience. In this role, you'll influence how performance testing is designed, executed, and evolved—including leveraging modern automation and AI-enabled approaches to improve speed and efficiency. What's in it for you: Competitive base salary of $98,630-$140,000 Flexible work hours and work-from-home options Reimbursement for continuous education and technical training Comprehensive benefits package Health, dental and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Perks including employee discounts, financial wellness planning, tuition reimbursement and more A culture that invests in people and technology Certified Great Place to Work and voted a 2019-2026 Computerworld Best Places to Work in IT What we're looking for: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience 8+ years of experience in software development and/or testing with deep expertise in performance testing Strong coding skills in object-oriented languages such as C# and JavaScript Proficiency with Git and modern CI/CD pipelines Strong SQL skills to write, modify, and analyze queries for performance testing Understanding of system architecture concepts including APIs, caching, load balancers, and queues Ability to analyze complex systems and translate findings into actionable recommendations Clear communicator who partners effectively across technical and non-technical teams Strong ownership, accountability, and ability to influence technical direction What you'll be doing: Own performance testing strategy and execution for assigned applications and platforms Design, build, and maintain performance testing frameworks for API and web-based systems Develop and execute performance test scenarios and datasets using tools such as JMeter, BlazeMeter, Taurus, and SqlQueryStress Analyze response times, throughput, concurrency patterns, and system behavior under load Use observability and monitoring tools including Datadog, Grafana, and Splunk to correlate test results with system metrics Identify performance bottlenecks and collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to drive remediation Evaluate environment and infrastructure requirements and make recommendations to meet expected SLAs Produce clear performance test reports outlining risks, findings, and recommendations Drive continuous improvement through automation, tooling enhancements, and AI-enabled solutions Mentor and support Automation Engineers in performance testing best practices Where you'll be: 601 S Harbour Island Blvd #230, Tampa, FL 33602 Employment visa sponsorship is unavailable for this position.
