Pay:
$35-$40/hour (based on experience)
Schedule:
Up to 60 hours per week
Travel:
Projects located in
Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona Per Diem:
$46/day (meals) + company-provided lodging
Job Type:
Contract-to-Hire (Full-Time Opportunity) Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Senior Wind Technicians to lead and support wind turbine maintenance and installation projects across multiple sites in the Southwest. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering steady, year-round work with significant overtime potential. The Senior Technician will be responsible for leading a small crew while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise a crew of up to 5 wind technicians on-site Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on wind turbines Oversee daily work activities to ensure productivity and safety compliance Coordinate with site management and project teams to meet deadlines Ensure all work is performed in accordance with MCE project standards Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and crew performance Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all OSHA and company policies Requirements Active GWOBST (Global Wind Organization Basic Safety Training) certification (required) Proven experience as a Wind Technician, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred Ability to travel and work in TX, NM, and AZ on a consistent basis Ability to work extended hours (up to 60 hours/week) Must pass drug screening, background check, and MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions If you are a skilled Wind Technician ready to step into a leadership role and take on steady, high-hour projects, we encourage you to apply today. #Skilltravel
