Job Description
Servers provide attentive, energetic, knowledgeable, and thoughtful service to guests while upholding Food & Beverage service standards. The nature of this job requires a highly motivated, committed, and skilled individual who can work with a team in a fast-paced environment to achieve customer satisfaction. This job description is intended to be a broad description of duties. You will be expected to carry out all responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Essential Job Responsibilities:
Provide efficient, friendly, and thoughtful service at all times. Execute service standards for presentation, delivery of food and beverage, and service based on training. Must be willing to participate in regular and ongoing training. Follow checklists and other guidelines for opening and closing duties. Clear and clean tables promptly after guest departure. Have a comprehensive understanding of and practice responsible alcohol service. Assist in food running. Communicate supply needs to appropriate management when running low. Pleasant and frequent interactions with guests to ensure food, beverage, and experience quality. Miscellaneous tasks include but are not limited to cleaning, sweeping and mopping floors, stocking product and supplies, removing trash and recycling from restaurant, restocking glassware, and rolling silverware. Maintain a clean and neat workspace, guest space, and ensure that the operation runs in a smooth and orderly fashion. Respond to any guest requests or issues by communicating with the appropriate staff. Recite basic knowledge about menus, menu items, and the resort itself. Assist in execution of special events hosted at the restaurant when requested. Reliable attendance on all scheduled workdays. Perform additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by management at any time.Personal Skills:

Must already have or be willing to complete the New Mexico Food Handlers Certification upon hire. Must already have or be willing to complete the New Mexico Alcohol Server Certification upon hire. Prior experience in a high-volume restaurant or guest service preferred. Working knowledge of the fundamentals of guest service. Is self-motivated and capable of working diligently without constant supervision. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers and guests. Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings.Work Environment:
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. TSVI is located in a high-altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold and/or humid conditions. Wet surfaces may exist and sharp objects may be located throughout the work area.Physical Demands of Position Include:
Will often lift and carry up to 25 pounds, and occasionally team lift up to 50 pounds. 90-100% of the time will be spent standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, tasting and smelling. 25-50% of the time may be spent climbing/balancing, being exposed to the outdoors including winter weather conditions. Occasionally sitting - less than 15% of the time.Background Check:
Positions dealing with children, of safety sensitive and/or confidential nature, require driving or positions that handle cash may require a background check and MVR check. Employment is contingent upon a favorable background check and MVR check.
