Duties Greet guests warmly and present menus confidently, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages. Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Toast POS, ensuring all special requests and dietary needs are noted. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures. Upsell menu items by recommending appetizers, drinks, desserts, or specials to maximize sales opportunities. Manage tables efficiently by coordinating with kitchen staff for timely food preparation and delivery. Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems and process payments with cash handling expertise. Maintain guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly, ensuring a positive dining experience from start to finish. Qualifications Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Toast POS. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours. Demonstrated sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Experience with bussing tables and guest services roles like host/hostess work is advantageous. Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling; attention to detail is essential for accuracy.
