Server virtualization SAN System architecture design ESXi Active Directory management Full Job Description Position Overview We're looking for a skilled and motivated Server Administrator to support and manage infrastructure across our Managed Services (MSP) client base. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, working closely with our MSP team and directly with customers to design, build, and support virtual environments. You'll play a key role in augmenting client IT teams, helping architect reliable systems while also being the one who keeps them running when it counts. Key Responsibilities Administer and support Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) environments Manage and maintain Microsoft 365 / Office 365 tenants (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams) Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot Veeam backup and disaster recovery solutions Manage and support virtualization platforms including VMware and Proxmox Design and build virtual environments for MSP customers, including compute, storage, and networking Work closely with internal MSP teams and clients to augment existing IT staff and infrastructure Configure and manage server and storage solutions (SAN/NAS, local and hybrid storage) Perform server provisioning, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management Monitor system performance and proactively address issues before they impact clients Respond to escalated support tickets and infrastructure-related incidents Assist with migrations (on-prem to cloud, tenant-to-tenant, virtualization platform transitions) Implement and maintain security best practices across all environments Document systems, processes, and client environments clearly and consistently Qualifications 3+ years of experience in system or server administration (MSP experience preferred) Strong experience with: Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD Microsoft 365 administration Veeam Backup & Replication VMware (vSphere, ESXi) Proxmox (preferred or willingness to learn) Experience designing and deploying virtualized environments Hands-on experience with server storage technologies (SAN, NAS, RAID, hybrid/cloud storage) Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls) Experience working in multi-tenant environments Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities across different clients Preferred Certifications (Not Required)
