Full Job Description Days/hours:
1-5 days a week Servers/Bartenders must possess the ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain excellent service standards with his/her tables. They must have excellent listening skills and an eagerness to provide excellent service. F&B team members must be flexible in meeting the varying scheduling needs of the Club and may be required to work additional hours than scheduled, if necessary. F&B team members must be neat and well-groomed in accordance to HGC'S Team Member standards. Our Servers and Bartenders are team players who work effectively with coworkers and other departments to support and maintain a level of excellence in food and beverage service for the members and guests. It is the F&B team members responsibility to provide a warm, friendly environment creating a world class dining experience for our members and guests. This position requires a highly self-motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision and interact with members at a high-level.Reports to:
Food and Beverage Director/ Food and Beverage Assistant Manager Qualifications:
- Serving experience 2+ years.
- Training experience.
- Position requires full attendance of scheduled hours and must be willing to work mornings, mid-day, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to speak, read and understand English.
- Ability to lift, push, pull 50 lbs.
- Self-motivated with desire to promote
- Service and customer focused attitude
Job Duties:
- Know and abide by all Club policies and applicable state and local laws when serving alcohol to members and their guests.
- Possess complete knowledge of the menus and be able to answer any menu questions from members/guests graciously and with respect.
- Assist in the opening and closing duties for each shift
- Maintains sanitation standards
- Assists with activities in other departments
- Always maintains a professional conduct and dress
- Works with all departments to ensure a great member/guest experience.
- Handles member/guest problems in the appropriate and timely manner.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Practices safe work habits at all times to avoid injury to self and others.
- Reports all cases of theft or loss immediately to the Food and Beverage Director.
- Constantly projects a friendly, helpful attitude to all members/guests.
- This position may perform additional duties as needed/required
- Act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employees
- Enthusiastic, outgoing attitude and personality, patient and non-combative
- Organized, able to work in a busy environment where the priorities are changing
- Dedicated to improving their own skills and knowledge as well as those of the other team members
- Energetic and professional
- Standing or walking for long periods of time may be required
