The purpose of a Service Desk Technician is to provide initial technical support to district and site staff to assure efficient and effective technology and network operations; maintain inventory of technology equipment and supplies; provide general clerical support. This job reports to the Director of Information Technology or designee
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by college-level course work in computer hardware and software applications or a related field and two years of related experience including hardware and software applications in a network environment.   • Open to employees of the District and the public with the selection process resulting in one (1) Eligibility List that will be used to fill current vacancies and any future vacancies that occur within one (1) year or until the list becomes exhausted.
Current permanent employees of the District will be awarded seniority points as per the contract. All properly completed applications will be reviewed and the most highly qualified individuals will be invited to continue in the selection process. The process may consist of an evaluation and scoring of application materials, written testing, oral interview and/or performance test to evaluate the applicant's skill, training and experience. The EdJoin system will time-out after a 20 minute period of perceived inactivity. Your responses to the supplemental questions are limited to 5,000 characters. A completed on-line application is required of all applicants to be considered for this opening.
