Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and highly organized Service Manager to lead our automotive service department with enthusiasm and expertise. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer satisfaction, and drive service excellence across all automotive repair and maintenance services. Duties Lead and supervise the service department team, including service technicians and support staff, to ensure smooth daily operations. Oversee vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance including oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension work, tire services, alignments, shocks & struts, diesel engine repairs, air brake systems, and auto body repairs. Manage customer interactions by providing clear communication about vehicle issues, repair options, and estimates; ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service writing and follow-up. Drive upselling initiatives by recommending additional services such as auto estimating enhancements or vehicle maintenance packages to maximize revenue opportunities. Monitor workflow efficiency by scheduling appointments effectively and ensuring timely completion of repairs while maintaining quality standards. Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of service orders, repair histories, and parts inventory. Stay current with automotive industry trends and technical advancements to support mechanic training and ensure compliance with safety standards. Qualifications Proven dealership experience or extensive auto service management background with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures. Hands-on mechanic experience or familiarity with automotive repair processes including transmissions, oil changes, brake systems, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repairs. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Experience in auto estimating software and service writing is highly desirable. Knowledge of automotive sales techniques to assist in vehicle sales when needed. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Mechanical knowledge combined with leadership skills to motivate a team of technicians toward excellence.
