POSITION SUMMARY
The Service Manager leads daily operations for a multi-discipline Facility Services team supporting commercial and industrial clients. This role oversees service delivery, technician leadership, dispatch coordination, estimating support, and operational performance. The position is accountable for customer satisfaction, team effectiveness, and departmental profitability.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and supervise technicians performing troubleshooting, repair, installation, start-up, and service operations. Coordinate scheduling and dispatch to meet service demands, customer expectations, and skill alignment. Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate technicians to support workload and service quality standards. Review completed work to ensure quality, safety, and best-practice standards are met. Establish and maintain training programs focused on technical proficiency, OEM requirements, and safety. Evaluate service processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity. Manage service reporting, including labor hours, materials, estimated completion times, and job status. Oversee budgets, performance goals, invoicing accuracy, and cash flow related to service operations. Coordinate parts procurement to ensure service deadlines are met. Maintain vendor and manufacturer relationships related to warranties, recalls, and product issues. Collaborate with project, construction, fleet, and safety resources as needed. Support business development through proposal review and service planning. Develop and update annual business plans. Perform other duties required to support efficient department operations.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
15+ years of combined experience across at least two of the following trades: HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Services, Electrical Services. Proven leadership experience in service or facilities operations. Strong operational, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to lead multiple teams in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. Safety-first mindset with strong judgment and discretion.PREFERRED
Facilities management experience. Post-high school education from a college or trade school.Job Type:
