Our success is built on honesty, integrity, expert technicians, and strong customer relationships. We are expanding and seeking a motivated Service Manager to lead and grow our Service Department. Position Summary The Service Manager is responsible for the leadership, growth, structure, and productivity of the Service Department. This role sets the pace, standards, and culture of the department while ensuring operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and sustainable company growth. The ideal candidate is a mature, self-starting leader who can manage operations independently, support technicians technically, and help expand the company's service presence throughout our geographic region. Key Responsibilities Lead all daily operations of the Service Department, including scheduling, workflow management, and technician productivity. Establish and maintain a strong service culture focused on accountability, professionalism, and customer satisfaction. Drive department growth through improved efficiency, customer retention, and new service opportunities. Recruit, hire, and develop service technicians to support planned growth. Provide technical support and resources to service mechanics as needed. Monitor department performance and achieve measurable productivity and profitability goals. Maintain strong communication with customers regarding service timelines, repairs, and solutions. Identify and develop relationships with new and existing customers within the regional market. Stay informed on industry trends, equipment technologies, and service opportunities. Work closely with ownership to implement operational improvements while building departmental independence. Qualifications Previous experience managing a service department or field service team (material handling, heavy equipment, automotive, or similar industry preferred). Strong leadership and team development skills. Working technical knowledge of mechanical or equipment service operations. Excellent organizational and communication abilities. Self-motivated, self-managing, and results-driven mindset. Ability to balance operational management with customer-facing responsibilities. Commitment to honesty, integrity, and professional service standards.
