Service Writer - Auto Care Center

Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs. Prepare detailed repair orders, estimates, and invoices using auto estimating tools, ensuring transparency and clarity. Communicate effectively with service technicians to relay customer concerns and gather technical information for accurate diagnostics. Monitor Preventative Maintenance services such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, or transmission repairs to enhance customer value. Coordinate with parts departments to ensure timely availability of parts needed for repairs and services. Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any additional questions or concerns. Skills Basic mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including transmissions, oil changes, brakes, suspensions, shocks & struts, air brakes, alignments, diesel engines, and auto body repairs. Experience in automotive repair and service writing with familiarity in auto estimating software. Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to drivers. Ability to explain services confidently while maintaining integrity and trustworthiness. Knowledge of automotive sales processes and vehicle maintenance procedures. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
