Service Writer/Advisor

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Service Writer/Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services, ensuring a seamless communication process between clients and service technicians. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive repair processes, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage service requests efficiently. Responsibilities Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs. Create detailed service orders based on customer requests and vehicle conditions. Provide accurate estimates for repairs, including auto estimating for various services such as oil changes, diesel engine repair, and air brake systems. Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks. Maintain clear communication with customers regarding the status of their vehicles and any additional services required. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to service delivery. Document all services performed and parts used in the repair process. Promote additional services and products to enhance customer satisfaction and business growth. Skills Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell automotive services effectively. Proficiency in auto estimating and knowledge of automotive service procedures. Familiarity with various aspects of automotive repair, including diesel engine repair, auto body repair, and air brake systems. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members. Ability to work collaboratively with service technicians to ensure quality service delivery. Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills to manage multiple service requests simultaneously. Previous experience in a similar role within the automotive industry is preferred but not required.
