Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Sewer and Ductile Iron worker, where you will play a vital role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of sewer systems and ductile iron piping. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on essential infrastructure projects that keep communities moving forward. Your expertise will ensure the durability and reliability of underground piping systems, contributing to public health and safety. Duties Install, inspect, and repair sewer lines and ductile iron pipes according to project specifications and safety standards Operate specialized equipment for pipe laying, cutting, welding, and fitting to ensure precise assembly Conduct thorough assessments of existing piping systems to identify leaks, blockages, or structural issues Collaborate with team members to plan efficient workflow sequences for large-scale infrastructure projects Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspection results for compliance purposes Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations during excavation, installation, and repair activities Assist in the loading and unloading of materials in warehouse settings related to piping supplies and fittings Skills Strong knowledge of sewer system construction and ductile iron pipe installation techniques Experience operating machinery such as pipe cutters, welding tools, excavators, or trenchers Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints, or schematics related to piping layouts Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards Warehouse experience is a plus for handling supplies efficiently and maintaining inventory accuracy Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and safety compliance Basic understanding of manufacturing processes related to pipe fabrication or fitting assembly
