Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) & Legacy of Healing (LOH)JOB SUMMARY
The Sexual Assault Family Advocate will provide culturally competent, and trauma informed emotional support, guidance, information, and advocacy services to children who have been victims of sexual abuse. Provide advocacy services such as crisis intervention, resource referrals, safety planning, and coordination with law enforcement, health professionals, and community agencies for victims. Assist or Director with departmental work and special projects.COMPENSATION
$25.31 hr.MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Associate Degree in Human Services or related field.- Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE
One (1) year experience working with and advocating for trauma victims One (1) year experience utilizing Microsoft Office programs One (1) year experience working in an office environmentSKILLS TESTING
Typing 30 WPMREQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES WA
State Driver License. (Personal Auto Insurance) Must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulations (Abstract Required) Complete eight (8) hours of DEI Training.- Will allow three (3) months to obtain. CPR/First Aide Certificate.
- Will allow three (3) months to obtain. Thirty (30) hours OCVA of culturally and/or linguistically appropriate initial sexual assault training.
- Will allow three (3) months to obtain. Twenty-four (24) hours of Advocate Core training
- Will allow six (6) months to obtain.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
