Sexual Assault Lead Advocate

    Sexual Assault Lead Advocate
  • Bilingual Spanish/English This position provides individual and group counseling services to survivors of sexual assault.
Responsibilities include on-call crisis response, hotline support, community engagement, and systems advocacy. In compliance with all Federal and State labor laws and regulations, this position is classified as Non-Exempt.
Purpose:
To provide coordinated crisis intervention and support services to sexual assault clients
Duties :
1. Responsible for intake assessment, advocacy, and development of case plan based on identified need. 2. Provide ongoing counseling, information, and emotional support to enhance the client's coping skills in effectively negotiating for needed resources. 3. Responsible for appropriate system linkages and referrals to achieve client case plan. 4. Responsible for monitoring and tracking service utilization. 5. Responsible for evaluation of services and outcome measures. 6. Responsible for hotline and on-call coverage. 7. Responsible for the collection and maintenance of client records and service data. 8. Responsible for sexual assault on-call response (SART). 9. Responsible for other duties as assigned by the Team Lead/Director.
Accountability:
The Sexual Assault Lead Advocate is responsible to the Program Team Lead/Director and the client population for the timely, professional, and effective performance of all job duties.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of two years of experience working with the identified client population or one that is transferable. 2. Experience in working with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. 3. Demonstrated sensitivity to issues of social justice. 4. Demonstrated ability to work in diverse teams. 5. Ability to expand communication style to multiple cultural environments. 6. Ability to speak a second language valued.
Note:
Bilingual Spanish/English 7. Ability to network with other professionals within and outside the Agency on behalf of the client population. 8. Willingness to utilize, share and/or develop technology skills. 9. Minimum of Associates in Social Work or a related field; or minimum two years of experience in social services or a related field. 10.
