Applicants should embrace this philosophy when applying.- Provide individual and small-group counseling to students in PreK-2 focused on social-emotional learning, emotional regulation, coping skills, and behavior support
- Support students experiencing adjustment challenges related to school routines, peer relationships, family changes, or trauma
- Conduct observations in classrooms and playground settings to assess student needs
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special educators, administrators, and related service providers
- Consult with staff on strategies to support students' social-emotional and behavioral needs in the classroom
- Participate in student support team meetings, IEP/504 meetings, and problem-solving teams as appropriate.
- Collaborates well with colleagues of diverse backgrounds on pedagogical approaches, curricular alignment including Universally Designed Learning, and instructional strategies
- Experience working with young children (PreK-2) preferred
- Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed practices, and social-emotional learning
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills Communicate and collaborate with families to support students' social-emotional growth
- Appropriate Massachusetts Educator License (DESE) is required
- Other duties assigned by the building administration
