What you get to do:

Being Shallow Water Attendant or Lifeguard at Water Country USA is a lot more than sitting on a platform and putting zinc oxide on your nose. You'll play a key role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable guest experience. In addition to monitoring swimming areas and helping guests in distress, you'll greet and interact with guests, answer questions and resolve guest issues.

You will:

Warn guests of dangerous water activities Prevent and respond to guest emergencies Administer first aid Participate in scheduled in-service training and regular audits Be proficient in park knowledge, water rescue, CPR/AED and First Aid Skills Maintain cleanliness of your area Consistently practice safe work habits, including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) What it takes to succeed: You must be at least 15 years of age You will need to successfully complete the Shallow Water swim test, including 50-yard continuous swim, underwater object retrieval, etc. You must successfully pass the company provided CPR and AED certification classes You will participate in monthly in-service trainings and various safety audits You must be comfortable with heights You must be able to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation:
