Job Title:
Shift Manager / Team Lead. Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Shift Manager / Team Lead to oversee daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts. This role is responsible for ensuring excellent guest service, smooth operational flow, and adherence to company standards. The ideal candidate will provide leadership to staff, support training efforts, and maintain compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations. Key Responsibilities Shift Leadership & Operations Lead day-to-day operations during assigned shifts, ensuring service, quality, and cleanliness standards are consistently met Execute opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, safety checks, and operational readiness Monitor workflow and address operational challenges in real time Manage inventory counts, place orders, and ensure product quality, freshness, and availability Guest Experience & Issue Resolution Deliver a high level of guest service and ensure a positive dining experience Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints Resolve routine issues and escalate complex matters to management when necessary Maintain food quality, accuracy, and presentation standards Team Leadership & Development Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members Provide direction, coaching, and real-time support to staff during shifts Reinforce company policies, service standards, and workplace expectations Create and manage employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing coverage Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and sanitation regulations Promote a safe, respectful, and productive work environment Report compliance, safety, or performance concerns to management promptly Qualifications 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the restaurant or hospitality industry Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience with scheduling, inventory management, and cash handling preferred Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards Work Environment & Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment Must be able to lift up to 25-50 lbs as needed Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Benefits Competitive pay Paid time off and holidays Health, dental, and vision insurance Opportunities for growth and advancementSimilar jobs in Halifax, MA
