About The Pickle Pad The Pickle Pad is an indoor family entertainment venue built around the fastest-growing sport in the U.S.—pickleball. We feature indoor yard spaces with social games like cornhole, darts, billiards, giant Jenga, and more. Our full-service bar and kitchen fuel the fun with scratch-made food, signature cocktails, and shareable eats. Guests come to The Pickle Pad for recreation, celebration, and connection. Whether they're here for a pickup pickleball match, a birthday party, or a corporate event, we deliver unforgettable experiences. Position Summary As an Supervisor at The Pickle Pad, you are a hands-on leader responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences through strong team supervision, real-time problem-solving, and consistent execution across our restaurant, bar, entertainment floor, and pickleball courts. You lead from the floor—not the office—setting the tone for a fun, safe, and high-energy environment while supporting team success and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Culture Lead and coach hourly team members (servers, bartenders, line cooks, etc.) across all areas of the venue. Ensure staff are set up for success each shift—monitor staffing levels, conduct pre-shift meetings, and align team around service goals. Uphold and model The Pickle Pad's brand values and Accountability. Provide real-time coaching and recognition to motivate staff and elevate service. Operational Execution Oversee restaurant and bar operations during assigned shifts, ensuring food and beverage quality, speed of service, and cleanliness standards. Monitor the bar and gaming areas to ensure equipment is functioning, rules are followed, and guests are having fun safely. Manage shift-level labor targets and reduce inefficiencies through smart floor management. Respond quickly and effectively to guest concerns, accidents, or incidents. Conduct routine venue walkthroughs to maintain cleanliness, safety, and service standards. Event Support & Execution Assist with private event setup, execution, and breakdown (birthday parties, corporate team outings, etc.). Act as point of contact for hosts and guests during events, ensuring timelines and expectations are met. Coordinate with kitchen and bar to fulfill event menus and special orders. Guest Experience & Brand Stewardship Maintain a constant floor presence, engaging guests and creating memorable moments. Resolve guest concerns with empathy, urgency, and follow-through. Promote current promotions, loyalty programs, and social media campaigns. Encourage positive guest reviews and repeat visits. Administrative Duties Complete shift reports, inventory counts, and cash handling procedures accurately. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor laws. Help manage vendor deliveries and inventory controls as needed. Assist with opening and closing procedures for the facility. Qualifications 2+ years in a supervisory or team lead role in a restaurant, bar, or family entertainment center. Strong leadership and conflict-resolution skills; a calm and confident presence on the floor. Ability to think on your feet, prioritize in a dynamic environment, and keep a team motivated during peak periods. Experience with restaurant POS systems, bar operations, and service recovery best practices. Must be comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to lift 30+ lbs and be on your feet for extended periods. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age to apply. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience at a family entertainment concepts. Experience managing private events or party services. Valid Food Handler's Certification and Alcohol Server Training (or willingness to obtain). Working knowledge of pickleball rules and court etiquette (training provided).
